Emerald Group Credit Union is a full service credit union established in 1955 to provide members with top quality financial products. The Emerald Group was originally chartered as the Garfield School Employees Credit Union.  We now exist as a group of credit union who have become business partners in order to provide better service for their respective members.  Now serving all who live, work, attend school or worship in Cuyagoga County plus over twenty employment groups and a Chamber of Commerce. We are one of the fastest growing credit unions in Ohio.

 

As a non-profit financial institution, our sole purpose is to serve our members. We do that better than anyone else by offering honest terms, great rates and lower fees. Democracy is the basis of credit unions, where members elect officers and annual meetings are open to all.  The credit union philosophy of "people helping people" is practiced at EGCU. Members act like they own the credit union.. because they do!

 

Security is key to Emerald Group Credit Union where capital exceeds most banks and deposits are insured to $250,000 per account by American Share Insurance.

Emerald Group Credit Union serves communities and employment groups in all of of Cuyahoga County. Membership is also available to relatives of existing members. Once a member you are always a member, unless your membership is revoked.
